“Our goal at Housing Hawaii's Future is to educate students and young professionals about the workforce housing issue and equip them with the skills and knowledge necessary for effective civic engagement,” Sterling Higa, a University of Hawaii at Manoa alum, who co-founded the nonprofit, told Spectrum News.
Helping more young Hawaiʻi professionals find affordable workforce housing is the goal of a movement led by a University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa alumnus. Sterling Higa co-founded and serves as executive director of Housing Hawaiʻi’s Future, a nonprofit which seeks to create opportunities for Hawaiʻi’s Generation Z and Millennials.
